A new year, a new month — and that means new fashions! Find out the maternity fashion trends for 2009.
Colors: The economy may be in a slump, but that doesn’t mean your wardrobe has to be. Punch up your maternity wardrobe with pops of color, such as a moss green top, red bag or vibrant red wrap dress.
Prints: Solids are so 2008! Give your wardrobe a little pizazz with fun prints, such as romantic florals or a sexy leopard printed dress.
Flaunt – don’t hide – your bump: Forgot about wearing loose, bump-hugging fashions. Flaunt your beautiful baby bump with dresses and tops that gently hug your new curves. Look for fabrics that will skim your body — we are not talking skin-tight. Drop-waist dresses or a wrap top are two great bump-flaunting options.
Bows, ruffles and ties, OH MY!: Feminine details, such as bows and ruffles contain to be trendy in 2009. Just remember — less is sometimes more. Look for dresses and tops that have small flirty ruffles at the neckline.
