Finding designer maternity clothes on a budget
September 1, 2010
Stay stylish throughout pregnancy with our tips on finding designer maternity clothes on a budget. Do not pay full price on trendy maternity clothes when you can save money and look great with our budget-boosting tips!
Shop online: Are you looking for the new maternity designer jeans, like Joe’s Jeans or Seven Fall All Mankind? Do a google search to quickly narrow down your options for price comparisons. Not only does this save you from driving from store to store, but it is the best way to save money. For instance, I just did a google search for Joe’s Jeans maternity, and quickly saw I could save $60 by purchasing these from Amazon.com instead of another online boutique.
Shop consignment: Because women only wear maternity clothes for a relatively short period of time, you can find lightly – used designer clothes for a fraction of the price at consigment shops and secondhand stores. On the flip side, when you are through wearing your designer maternity clothes, sell them at consignment shops to make your money back.
Ebay: Ebay is a great place to save big money on designer maternity clothes — both used and new. You can do a search by brand, type of of clothes and size. Once you find your pick, place a bid or you can often use the “buy it now” option as well.
Clothes swap: Do you have a pregnant friend that is a similar size? Do a clothes swap! For instance, you both go in on a designer dress or designer maternity jeans and take turns wearing them. You instantly save half on designer clothes!
Shopping in-store: When you are shopping in a store, walk right on past the top-dollar items in the front of the store and head to the back of the store. This is where you will find the best deals on maternity clothes.
