Pregnancy hair styles: Hiding a round face
January 27, 2009
What hair style will be most flattering now that you are pregnant? Find out which hair styles are best (and worst!) for round faces.
Many pregnant women are looking for a hair style that will slim the face, especially once you’ve have hit your second and third trimesters. Between the pregnancy pictures and the baby shower, what hair style will be the most flattering?
Avoid ultra-short hair-do’s above chin length. This type of hair style will do nothing to conceal the inevitable third-trimester double chin and will add to the roundness of your face. A hip bob that is cut a couple of inches below your chin will be much flattering.
Try parting your hair off the side, instead of in the middle. A middle part adds to the roundness of your face.
For longer hair below shoulder-height, have your hair cut in long layers to give you added body and height at the root of your hair. Rub root-booster or gel into the crown of your hair while it is wet for extra body.
For an easy slimming hair-do, pull your up in a high ponytail or messy bun. The height will give an instant illusion of a slimmer face.
