Did you know you can have an impact on how much your baby cries simply by the the colors your surround him with? This is important information to know, especially when painting the nursery and picking out bedding.

Often thought of as a cheery color, the color yellow is actually the most difficult color for our minds to process. It has been shown that babies will actually cry more in yellow rooms because it is tiring to their eyes. Can you see why you would not want your baby to sleep on yellow bedding? Be careful about painting any other rooms in your house yellow—spouses fight more in rooms painted yellow! If you love yellow, use it sparingly as an accent color in the kitchen or dining room.

What color should your paint the nursery? The color blue soothes, calms and even helps to lower blood pressure. The soothing shade of green promotes relaxation and is the easiest color for our minds to process. A soft purple is also a good choice for easing the mind.
