As you are busy planning your maternity wardrobe, designing the nursery and picking out baby gear, it can be easy to leave the dad-to-be out of the planning. Here are some fun tips to help your man feel included by getting him some of his own “maternity gear.”
1. Get him his own diaper bag: The last thing he will want to do is carry around your pink diaper bag. Loved by cool dads such as Ben Affleck and Brad Pitt, the Diaper Dude (pictured is the Camouflage Bag) is a hip bag he will be proud to show off.
2. Daddy tee: You have your pregnancy novelty tee, he needs his! He will get many laughs walking around with his shirt reading, “Sympathy Bump.”
3. Push present for dad: Even though he is not the one that has to go through labor, it is nice to show him you appreciate all his love and support. Why not surprise him with that watch he has had his eye on or an engraved money clip with the date of your child’s birth?
4. Encourage dad to get involved picking out the baby gear, such as the stroller and car seat. He will (hopefully) be using these items as much as you will be.
