When buying maternity clothes for work, consider buying pieces that are versatile and can be dressed up or down. To stay within your budget, buy a few basic pieces that can be mixed and matched to create new looks.
Maternity fashion guru Liz Lange offers this tip to Modern Mom: “Work essentials have to be really versatile during your pregnancy. It’s best to stick with the true basics: a black suit with a fitted blazer and slim underbelly trousers or a skirt depending on your taste, a white stretchy button down, a sweater set that can be dressed up for night and a little black dress for which you can do the same.”
