Must-have maternity top: Scunchbump
December 18, 2008
Are you at that stage of pregnancy where your pre-pregnant clothes are too tight or short and maternity clothes are too big? Before you resolve yourself to too-big clothes that only make you look big — not pregnant– check out Scrunchbump.
Developed out of necessity, Scrunchbump is the design of mom Priscilla Hubbard who discovered that she needed something to help transition her between pre-pregnancy clothes and maternity clothes. “I sewed a shirt tight enough that it gave me support around my quickly expanding belly,” she reveals. “Then I discovered that I could wear this shirt with my favorite non-maternity jeans while disguising the fact that they were unzipped! I loved the shirt so much, I had to share it with the world.”
What she developed is a line of tops that are designed to “scrunch” around your growing belly, giving you length when you need it and scrunching back up when you don’t need as much length– like post-baby. You have three looks to choose from — the signature capped sleeve (pictured), the signature cami and the signature tank — that can be worn on their own or layered.
Scrunchbump tops (prices starting at $25.99) are available in a variety of colors and can be purchased at www.Scrunchbump.com.
