Maternity clothes that fit YOUR style
April 2, 2008
Just because you are dressing for two does not mean you have to completely change your personal style. Did you love hip, trendy fashions before you were pregnant? You can still look just as hip and trendy now that you are sporting a bump. Are you a working woman that prefers tailored pieces? You can maintain your professional style throughout your pregnancy.
Here are some tips on translating your personal style into your maternity wardrobe.
Trendy style: Maintain your hip look by splurging a pair of designer maternity denim, such as Habitual, True Religion or 7 for all Mankind. Pair this with a bump-hugging wrap top or a graphic tee. For a dressier look, look for printed frocks or a tunic dress. Beyonce (pictured) maintained her glamorous and trendy maternity style by wearing sequined dresses, patterned scarves and bump-hugging looks. Tailored: Maintain your professional look by buying pants and suits that are designed for a pregnant body. Details like belly panels and side shirring will ensure perfect fit throughout your pregnancy. Check out Ann Taylor maternity for more classic looks.
Bohemian: Thanks to Angelina Jolie, long Maxi dresses are all the rage right now. Click here to check out Angelina’s pregnancy style. You can also maintain your boho style by pairing jeans with a flowing empire-waist top, sandals and chunky gold jewelry. Mimimaternity.com has a good selection of Maxi or patio dresses and print tops.

Casual: You can continue wearing all the casual looks you love by buying basic pieces such as Khaki cargo pants or denim Capri pants and pairing them with colorful tank tops. A light-weight sundress paired with gladiator sandals will keep you looking cool and casual. Check out Old Navy Maternity for more casual looks.

I’m no longer positive the place you are getting your information, but good topic. I needs to spend some time finding out much more or working out more. Thank you for wonderful information I used to be searching for this information for my mission.
Just because you are pregnant does not mean you cannot be stylish – WITHOUT breaking the bank!
Style Tips:
– Use your current wardrobe. I still wear my jackets, tanks and flowy non-maternity tops in my 9th month of pregnancy!
- Accessorize! I love infusing pops of color to take a bland outfit to the next level! Make use of your scarfs, shoes and jewelry to change up basic maternity pieces
- H&M, Express, Gap & other stores have great deals for non maternity clothes that fit my bump – and you can wear it after! Win/Win.
- Jeggings. I have worn my jeggings throughout my pregnancy. Same things with my leggings.
- Maxi Dresses are king! They are so comfy for the days you don’t want anything touching your bump!
