Is it safe to use a teeth-whitening product while I am pregnant?
According to the book, What to Expect When You’re Expecting, pregnant women should avoid bleaching their teeth “There have yet to be any major studies done on the effects, if any, of using a professional or at-home tooth-whitening system (such as those employ peroxide or ultraviolet light).”
My advice is to err on the side of caution and avoid doing anything that exposes you and your baby to unnecessary chemicals.
