Many pregnant women prefer underbelly or no panel jeans or pants because they are comfortable, non-constricting and they allow you to wear form-fitting tops without an ugly seam showing. If you don’t know what to look for, you may find that these type of pants have a tendency to fall down or leave you feeling exposed as you bend over.

Don’t worry–your pregnancy fashion expert is here to alleviate all your wardrobe malfunctions. When buying underbelly panel pants, look for features that will allow them to be adjusted as your pregnancy progresses. Drawstring pants will allow you to tighten the waistband to discourage “slippage.” Many jeans and pants are also built with an adjustable elastic waistband that include buttons to ensure a perfect fit.

When trying on pants or jeans with an underbelly fit, make sure you test them out by bending over to see how far they ride down. Look for those that are designed with a slightly higher cut in the back to keep you covered.
