All of my regular Pregnancy Fashion readers know that we have been following Halle Berry’s chic maternity fashion since she announced her mom-to-be status. Halle, who is currently 4 months pregnant, keeps her look California-cool in feminine dresses, gold jewelry and casual hair.
Berry, 41, recently talked to reporters about her “maternity chic”: “I think I feel like I’m such a slave to fashion. It’s a hard concept for me to fathom that I’m going to have to wear maternity clothes.”
She does acknowledge that the current empire-waist fashion trend will allow her to wear “normal” clothes until she is further along. “Fashion is on my side. Everything is up here and shift-y, so I think I can work it out in normal clothes with normal designers in their collections until the eighth or ninth month, then I might have to break down and do maternity.”
