Flying pregnant: What to wear
August 18, 2008
Let’s face it, even when you are NOT pregnant, traveling on an airplane is rarely comfortable. Between the crowded quarters and the not-so-pleasant smells, however, flying while expecting can be a nightmare!
To make the trip as pleasant as possible, you should dress for comfort without sacrificing style.
-Avoid wearing anything that digs into your belly or thighs when you are sitting. If it bothers you at all when you are sitting for a few minutes, just imagine how you will feel after a few hours!
-Don’t dress too warmly. Pregnancy hormones are notarious for making you hot, so dress in layers to keep your temperature comfortable.
-What should you wear when you are flying? Opt for a cute floral sundress, jersey skirt and top or loose-fitting cargo khaki pants and a top.
-Wear your walking shoes, mama! Jennifer Garner (pictured at the airport with hubby Ben Affleck) opts for tennis shoes, but gladiator sandals or ballet flats would be a great option as well.
