Babymoon travel tips
August 2, 2007
Planning a “babymoon” vacation before your bundle of joy arrives is a great way to reconnect with your husband. How you can stay stylishly comfortable while traveling pregnant?
Wear clothes that are comfortable, especially around your belly. The last thing you want is a tight waistband around your stomach when you are sitting in the car or airplane. A casual dress eliminates the waistband issue, and keeps you looking fresh.
Other great options would be a tracksuit or lightweight cargo pants; however I would avoid jeans because they tend to be too constricting for long travels.
It is always a good idea to dress in layers to accommodate for those not-so-fun hot flashes. Bring a lightweight jacket, or wear a long sleeve button-up shirt to wear over a tank top.
As far as what is underneath your stylish clothes, don’t forget to wear a supportive bra to keep your twins happy as you walk (or run!) through the airport. Speaking of running, leave the heels at home and wear athletic shoes or slip-on moccasins to keep your feet feeling good.
Finally, give your back a break and bring a small carry-on bag or pull luggage with wheels. Don’t forget to throw some extra water in your bag to keep you hydrated. Happy travels!
