It is hard to beat the sex appeal of a blacky lacy bra and matching lace brief. The Amoralia Nougatine Maternity Bra and Lace Brief from Isabella Oliver manages to capture just the right amount of sex appeal and class. “Gorgeous underwear is one of those things that can instantly make us feel more feminine and sparkling. Why would pregnant women not feel the same? We design our collections so that that all our customers feel feminine and stylish, but comfortable too,” says designer Jules Canterbury.

Flaunt your sexy pregnancy curves in the French Lace Bralet and French Lace Tanga from Bella Materna (not pictured). The supple Italian knit and sexy lace are designed to support your bust (cup size goes up to E) while the sexy lace bottoms are designed to stretch to with your changing shape. Sexy mama!

due-maternity-sexyThe Lotus Lace Nursing & Maternity Nightie by Belabumbum ($68) from Due Maternity combines sexy style with comfort. The sexy lace detail highlights your cleave while the flowing fabric gently skims your curves. Once baby is born, the pull-over design makes for easy nursing.

Similar to the sex appeal of a little black dress, a little black nightie will have a similar effect on your man’s libido. The HOTMilk Slip Into Seduction Chemise features scalloped edges and a wide lace trim at the hem, as well as a 7 inch slit at each side up the sex appeal.

3rd trimester maternity clothes guide

February 1, 2010

You are at the home stretch! You may not be able to see your feet and waddle when you walk but, trust us, you can still look stylish and feel comfortable in your 3rd trimester.

We have shared our top tips for the 1st trimester and 2nd trimester, now follow our tips for those last few months of pregnancy:

Comfort can be stylish: Dresses are a must-have for your 3rd trimester. They skim your curves beautifully, are comfortable and easy (no messing with matching tops and bottoms!). Whether you prefer a long maxi dress, a wrap dress or a cute sundress, you will look as good as you feel (or better than you feel!).

Leggings: Luckily for pregnant moms, leggings are back in a huge way! Pair black leggings with a long tunic top, sweater dress or button-front shirt, throw on some flats and you are golden!

Underwear and bras: You don’t have to spend a lot on underwear and bras — but you will most likely need a larger size than your pre-pregnancy size. Check out stores like Target or Old Navy to pick up maternity underwear or regular underwear in a larger size. If you plan on breastfeeding, you may consider picking up a nursing bra.

Sleepwear: Go for maximum comfort when sleeping. Whether you prefer a maternity nightgown or a tank top and underwear, look for stretchy and soft fabrics for maximum comfort.

2nd trimester maternity clothes guide

February 1, 2010

Known as the honeymoon phase of pregnancy, you will love dressing your new curves during your 2nd trimester! You are finally starting to look pregnant (instead of just bloated) and you are usually past the morning sickness and are able to enjoy your pregnancy.

Follow these tips for a stylish 2nd trimester:

Stock up on basics: Your 2nd trimester is the perfect time to stock up on basics like solid tees, maternity jeans, maxi dress, wrap dress and, for those working moms, maternity pants and blazer.

Look for clothes that will grow with you: Details like ruching, tie-backs, side-buttons and wraps will all ensure your clothes will grow and change with you.

Maternity bra: If you have not done so already, now is the time to get fitted for a new bra. Most women find their breasts increase by at least one cup size during pregnancy. You may need to by a larger bra in your third trimester, so don’t splurge on an expensive bra.

Shoes: Your belly isn’t the only thing growing — your feet are, too! Thanks to pregnancy hormones, many women find they will need shoes 1/2 larger than their pre-pregnancy size.

Flaunt that bump! Forget about wearing oversized clothes! Today’s pregnant moms show off their baby bumps in form-fitting tops and dresses.

Kourtney Kardashian says her post-baby body was photoshopped

January 25, 2010

1264444912_kourtney-kardashian-coverKourtney Kardashian revealed that her cover of OK! magazine was photoshopped to make her post-baby body appear slimmer.

“They doctored and photoshopped my body to make it look like I have already lost all the weight, which I have not,” she told Women’s Wear Daily.

Check out the first post-baby photos of Heidi Klum.

Kourtney, 30, and her boyfriend Scott Disick welcomed her first child, a boy named Mason, on December 13th. The OK! magazine issue, in which they claim they have an “exclusive” with Kourtney in which she reveals her post-baby diet secrets, “got it wrong,” says Kourtney.

Check out Kourtney’s top maternity looks here.

“One of those weeklies got it wrong again … they didn’t have an exclusive with me. And I gained 40 pounds while pregs, not 26…But thanks!”

It is always refreshing when a celebrity comes out and admits they have been photoshopped! Now, if only I can talk their photoshopper to do some work on my family photos!
