Pregnant Mariah Carey paints her baby bump
March 28, 2011
Mariah Carey celebrated her 42nd birthday on Monday (or her “anniversary,” as she likes to call it) by painting a colorful butterfly with the words “dem babies” on her baby bump. “My attempt @ festiveness on 3/27” she wrote in the caption.
Carey, who is pregnant with twins with husband Nick Cannon, was taken into the hospital on Sunday after having contractions. Luckily, it was a false alarm.
“They almost came on 3/27 – happy anniversary indeed!!! We have a few more weeks 2 go but – wow!!!:) so ready already!” That would have been pretty cool if she would have had her twins on her birthday! Check out the picture of Carey’s painted bump below:
Whether it is Halloween, maternity pictures or just for fun, painting your belly is a fun way to show off you baby bump. This would also be a fun and creative way to announce the sex of your baby to friends and family.
Look for non-toxic belly painting kits that are made specifically for pregnant moms, such as this Pregnancy Belly Painting Kit, or you can make your own paint!
Check out this easy homemade recipe for body paint, courtesy of Nancy Price. Make up a batch for each color:
• 1 teaspoon corn starch
• 1/2 teaspoon water
• 1/2 teaspoon cold cream
• Food coloring
Mix all of the above ingredients in a small bowl, egg cup or in a muffin pan. (Use a different container for each color.)
