Pete Wentz reading The Expectant Father
July 6, 2008
Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz may have been hanging out at the Ultimate Fighting Championship 86 after party in Las Vegas, but he had babies on the brain. Wentz and his newlywed wife Ashlee Simpson are expecting their first child together this fall.
“I talk to it all the time,” he tells People magazine. “The Expectant Father (by Armin A. Brott, available at Amazon.com) tells you that the woman, when she speaks, the baby hears her all the time. And the father’s voice isn’t familiar unless you talk to it, so I talk to it all the time.”
Besides getting advice from father-in-law Joe Simpson and his own father, he says this book is helping him prepare for his new role. “It tells you your partner’s moods month-by-month and week-by-week. It tells you why you’re feeling the way you are, how you can feel more involved in the pregnancy.”
Is your man reading a pregnancy or parenting book in preparation for the birth of your child?
