Actress Minnie Driver celebrated her baby shower with 40 friends yesterday at a friend’s Malibu home.
“It was a beautiful day,” a friend tells People.com. Sources report it was a casual party, with the house decorated in pink and white peonies.
Driver and her guests ate finger sandwiches, drank basil lemonade and enjoyed a berry cake from Sweet Lady Jane. “Minnie loves the cake,” a friend reports.
Guests painted onesies and wrote in a book that was to be given as a gift for Driver. She also opened gifts from Gymboree’s Brand New Line. I am sure the baby clothes were neutral colors since the 38-year-old actress is not finding out the sex of the baby until delivery.
Driver is expecting her first child in August. She has not revealed the father, only saying he is English and “sort of in the same business.”
