Helen Hunt on kids favorites
May 3, 2008
Academy Award winning actress Helen Hunt is on the cover of this months Redbook magazine. Hunt, 44, has one child, a 3-year-old daughter named Makena’lei, and shares some of her favorite things.
Favorite Kids Book: “Anything written by Steve Kellogg (author of Pinkerton, Behave! and Can I Keep Him?)”
Favorite Kids’ Show: “I don’t know – we don’t watch them.”
Favorite Song: “My daughter’s favorite son is the Ramones’ ‘Blitzkrieg Bop,’ so it better be my favorite too – otherwise I’d have to jump out the car window. We play it a lot.”
Since we are talking favorites, here is my personal favorite quote from her interview: “When they’re first born and you nurse for a year, you kind of feel like there’s no separation between you at all. She’s just drinking you in and spitting you back out – you’re all one big gooey person, sort of. But more and more I see her as the separate person that she is.”
Got something to say?
