Are you looking for a gentle and eco-friendly wash for your clothes? Many moms-to-be find their skin to be more sensitive while they are pregnant and are concerned about using products that have harsh ingredients.

Maternity trend: The boyfriend shirt
August 26, 2009
The newest trend to hit the streets comes straight out of the closet of your boyfriend or hubby — the boyfriend shirt! How can you wear it so you look feminine and flirty, not like you have thrown on an oversized shirt?

Even though it is called “the boyfriend shirt,” most women can’t get away with actually wearing their man’s shirt — unless you are close to the same size. Look for a woman’s buttoned-up oxford shirt that is long enough to pair with black leggings or slim jeans. You can also wear this top with cuffed jeans and sandals for a classic boys look.
As your pregnancy progresses, pair a belt under your belt to give your body some shape and to avoid the “tent” look.

Pregnancy fashion maternity style secrets
August 2, 2009
Being pregnant no longer means resorting to ugly frocks and oversized clothes. Today’s maternity clothes are stylish, hip and are designed to flatter your pregnancy curves.

Here are a few pregnancy fashion tips to keep in mind when dressing your new shape:
Don’t stick to “maternity” clothes: You don’t have to buy only clothes labeled maternity – especially when it comes to tops and dresses. However, maternity jeans and pants are often needed as your pregnancy progresses.
Think outside the box: Keep in mind your own personal style when shopping maternity clothes. “I love to be creative and find cute things in between,” says mom-to-be supermodel Heidi Klum. “It’s about finding good shapes. Cool tops. Right now for example, I love the skinny pants and blousier tops, and then when I get bigger, I like to bring the form back to the body. Then I like to show it off.”
What are Heidi’s favorite maternity jeans? Find out here.
Splurge on the basics: Buy basic maternity clothes, such as well-fitting solid tops, a cool pair of maternity jeans and a solid colored dress, that can be accessorized for casual or dressy occasions.

Shop bargain stores for trendy items: For that leopard-print tunic top or graphic tee, comparison shop online or look at the sales items on your favorite maternity boutique. Pair these trendy clothes with your basics (above) for a look that is stylish.

Petite maternity style tips
July 27, 2009
If you are petite pregnant mom-to-be, you may be wondering how to dress to best flatter your new pregnancy curves. Find out what to wear and what not to wear to for a stylish 9 months.

Petite women, defined as women under 5′4″, need to make sure they are dressed with proprotion is mind. Look for clothes in petite sizes that are designed for your smaller frame, otherwise the clothes will look sloppy and overwhelming. Online stores like bellablumaternity.com and IsabellaOliver.com have sections just for the petite mom-to-be.
Avoid large, bold prints and look for small patterns or prints to prevent you from overwhelming your frame.
To create a longer look, wear monochromatic or one-color outfits, such as black pants and black top, to add inches to your small frame. Straight lines, such as sheath dresses, also give the illusion of height.
Nude heels or sandals should be a staple in every petite mamas wardrobe. They instantly add inches to your legs!
