Gisele Bundchen’s shares her post-baby weight loss secret

February 1, 2010

Supermodel Gisele Bundchen is enjoying being a new mom to her son Benjamin and, although he is is only a month old, she is already going back to work, posing for the Brazilian label Colcci. What’s her secret?

Gisele, who is married to NFL star Tom Brady, revealed that she ate healthy, didn’t eat junk food (talk about willpower!) and kept busy with yoga and kung-fu.

“I kept myself in good shape during the whole pregnancy, eating healthily, meditating, and doing exercises,” says Bündchen. “I put on a little weight, but kept using almost the same clothes, with small adjustments on the stomach.”

She says that taking care of little Benjamin has kept her busy, leaving little time to exercise. “I still haven’t had time to go back to doing exercise. In the first few months, everything turns around the baby. But little by little you recover your form. What helps me is the fact that I didn’t put much weight on, and that I had a natural birth and am breast-feeding.”

Kourtney Kardashian says her post-baby body was photoshopped

January 25, 2010

1264444912_kourtney-kardashian-coverKourtney Kardashian revealed that her cover of OK! magazine was photoshopped to make her post-baby body appear slimmer.

“They doctored and photoshopped my body to make it look like I have already lost all the weight, which I have not,” she told Women’s Wear Daily.

Check out the first post-baby photos of Heidi Klum.

Kourtney, 30, and her boyfriend Scott Disick welcomed her first child, a boy named Mason, on December 13th. The OK! magazine issue, in which they claim they have an “exclusive” with Kourtney in which she reveals her post-baby diet secrets, “got it wrong,” says Kourtney.

Check out Kourtney’s top maternity looks here.

“One of those weeklies got it wrong again … they didn’t have an exclusive with me. And I gained 40 pounds while pregs, not 26…But thanks!”

It is always refreshing when a celebrity comes out and admits they have been photoshopped! Now, if only I can talk their photoshopper to do some work on my family photos!

Tip #1: Interesting necklines and/or necklaces will draw attention up and away from your postpartum tummy and direct it at your beautiful new-mom glow.

Tip #2: Printed or patterned tops paired with dark jeans or pants also draws the attention up and creates the illusion of a slimmer torso.

Tip #3: Shift dresses are a hot look right now and they are an easy way to disguise your post-baby belly. Throw on some sassy heels or sandals, an eye-catching necklace and you are ready to hit the town!

Tip #4: Guard against the dreaded “muffin top” by avoiding jeans that are too tight and opting for drawstring pants or skirts with a stretchy waistband. Shapewear, such as Sassybax, is another great option to keep your tummy pulled in. Many of today’s shapewear options are made of stretchy, breathable fabrics that feel great to wear while taking inches off instantly!
