Pregnancy photos: What to wear
August 8, 2007

The 9 months you are pregnant is such a wonderful, fleeting moment in time. Pregnancy photos are a way to document this special and miraculous time in your life. Your child will love looking at the photos and knowing that she was in your belly. You will love looking at the photos and remembering how it felt to feel those first kicks. Whether you hire professional photographer or have your husband take a few shots, here are some tips on what to wear during your photo shoot.
Think simple: Wear solids instead of busy prints to draw attention to you, not your clothes.
Color: Wearing basic black or white always looks elegant in photographs. You can also choose a color, such as moss green or a deep blue, that flatters your skintone.
Belly baring: Bring a shirt that can either be unbuttoned or pulled up to reveal your beautiful belly.
Au natural: Take inspiration from Demi Moore and consider a few tasteful poses where you are wearing nothing at all!
Be imaginative: Use a blanket or simple white sheet to drape across your chest leaving your belly exposed.
Coordinate: If you will be taking pictures with your husband and/or other children, coordinate so everyone is wearing the same colors for an elegant look.
