Necklines for long faces
July 19, 2007
Depending on your face shape, certain necklines will flatter your face more then others. I have already covered the best necklines for round faces, now I will focus on the best looks for those with long faces. A long face will have the features of a high forehead, thin face with a long chin (think Sarah Jessica Parker or Liv Tyler).

High necklines shorten the face and are the most flattering look for long faces. A jewel neck or boatneck neckline, like the Isabella Oliver maternity Ruched T (pictured, $48), will help balance your features perfectly. A stylish turtleneck is also a great way to flatter your face.
The scoop neck allows plenty of space between the shirt and your face and widens long features. The Isabella Oliver Cap Scoop Top ($58) is a great example of a flattering, feminine look.
In general, women with long faces should avoid vertical lines or V-neck lines.
Now you armed with all the style secrets to help you become even more of a yummy mummy.
Got something to say?
