Soothing scents for nausea and fatigue
August 7, 2007

It is hard to feel like a beautiful mom-to-be when all you feel is tired and nauseous. Why not try aromatherapy? Inhaling the fragrances of certain essential oils is a safe alternative to taking medications when pregnant. Look for candles that have the following scents to fragrance the air while curing what ails you.
Morning sickness: Look for candles fragranced with peppermint, spearmint or lemon essential oils.
Indigestion: Light a candle infused with lemon essential oils after a meal to help put out the heartburn and calm your stomach.
Nervousness: Chamomile will help calm and soothe your nervous state.
Fatigue: Missing your morning caffeine fix? Look for body washes or candles that contain geranium, sweet orange or lemon.
Your sense of smell may be heightened during pregnancy, so play around with the different scents until you find one that suits you.
