Shopping for a diaper bag involves more than just picking something that is pretty on the outside, it also should contain some practical features that will get you through both temper tantrums and diaper blow-outs. What should you look for when shopping for a diaper bag?

1. Waterproof lining: Bottles leak and sippy cups can spill so a waterproof lining makes clean-ups a breeze.
2. Compartments: Look for a bag with plenty of compartments to keep your bottles, diapers and snacks so you can find things quickly.
3. Outside pockets: Store items like you cell phone, keys and a pacifier in the outside pockets.
4. Matching changing pad: Many of the new bags contain this nice added perk. You need a changing pad, so why shouldn’t it match your bag?
