Question: Now that I am in my third trimester, all of my empire-waist or loose fitting tops all look like tents! What can I do?
Look for shirts or dresses that are form-fitting or that show the form of your bump. Details like elastic ruching along the side will ensure a form-fit without being skin-tight. Shirts with a gathered hem will also give your body some form. You will also find that a top with an adjustable belt or tie under the belly will also be most flattering.
As far as dresses, look for pieces with an elastic waist or belt that will fit under the belly. A stretchy material, such as jersey, will also flatter your body better than all-cotton.
