How to buy a maternity dress
September 10, 2007

Your maternity wardrobe should include a couple of shirts, pants, jeans, skirt and a dress. In fact, some people do away with pants and jeans and just stick to some stylish and comfortable dresses. What should you look for when buying a maternity dress?
Length: A dress that falls slightly above your knee will make for a flattering length and gives your versatility. Pair your dress with jeans or leggings for a completely different look.
Neckline: Take a tip for Salma Hayek and look for flirty details at the neckline. Her dress has a sexy v-neck cut with feminine ruffles. Click here to find out what neckline will best flatter your face shape.
Cut: Dresses with an empire waist that tie around your belly will prevent you from having that “tent” look.
Color: You can either go with the always flattering Little Black Dress (LBD) or punch your look up with a colorful dress. Can’t decide? Buy one of each!
