Do you need maternity pajamas?
November 9, 2007

Do you really need maternity pajamas? If you know what to look for, you can easily get away with wearing regular pajamas throughout your pregnancy. It may be a nice treat, however, to splurge on some pajamas that double as a nursing top once your baby arrives. Pictured is Majamas Cropped Nursing and Maternity PJ’s/Lounge Set from Due Maternity.
When buying non-maternity pajamas, think light-weight and stretchy. If you like wearing a top and bottom to bed, look for bottoms with a stretch or drawstring waistband to accommodate for your belly. Pajamas that have an empire waist top are your best bet for comfort.
If you like wearing a nightgown to bed, consider the length. As your tummy grows, the gown will get shorter–especially in the front. Look for a nightgown that is long enough to provide you with the coverage you want.
