Balancing act: Pregnancy weight gain
September 16, 2007

“I wasn’t a woman who stayed thin like I thought I would. I definitely gave myself the freedom to eat what I wanted. I thought, ‘Oh, it’s going to drop away; I’ll have another cookie.’ Next time around I won’t go quite that hog wild. I did not have a huge baby and I was ginormous”
-Jennifer Garner, mom to daughter Violet, as told to Marie Claire
It can be a hard to make the balance between letting yourself indulge a bit, and overdoing it. With my first pregnancy, I thought I had a “get out of jail card” to eat whatever I wanted. My second pregnancy I tried to eat healthy, indulge every now and then, but also keep my weight in check.
