Pregnant Heidi Klum talks slimming Emmy dresses
September 20, 2009
Project Runway host Heidi Klum is pregnant with her fourth child and will be attending the Emmy Awards just weeks before giving birth to her daughter. For some, this would present a huge fashion dilemma, but not for the stylish Victoria’s Secret supermodel.

“The great thing about being pregnant and going to these things is that I don’t have to suck my stomach in,” she told People.com. “It’s fabulous! I can let it all out.”
Klum is going to wear a custom-designed Marchesa gown. “It wasn’t really hard for me, but it was hard for the woman that designed a dress for me,” she joked. “She started about two or three months ago and that’s kind of difficult…It’s black because I figure, at eight-and-a-half months, black is better! I think it’s elegant and it’s slimming.”
How soon will she be walking the runway in tiny lingerie? “I was asked by Victoria’s Secret if it is possible, if I’m going to make it to their show. You never know how you are afterwards, so you kind of have to play it by ear and see what happens, she says. “So far – knock on wood – everything was always great. I felt great afterwards and I loved every minute of it, even the sleepless nights of getting up every two hours. But let’s see what happens. You can’t put all that pressure on you.”
Heidi is seen here in a beautiful black bump-hugging dress at the Los Angeles Confidential pre-Emmy party.

Nicole Richie’s post-baby style: First photos
September 18, 2009
Nicole Richie was seen out looking great in a tie dye blue maxi dress just one week after giving birth to baby Sparrow.

Richie welcomed her second child (a boy named Sparrow James Midnight Madden) on September 9th. The reality star/designer looked great in an empire-waist maxi dress that flowed over her new mom curves. Check the photo out here.
She seems to be wearing a dress very similar to the Gypsy 05 Tie Dye Maxi Dress in Blue (pictured) available at www.shopthetrendboutique.com.
A maxi dress is the perfect post-baby look because the empire-waist cut and flowing material is perfect for hiding your new-mommy tummy, while the v-neckline highlights your new cleavage. The dress gets bonus points for comfort!

Heidi Klum’s maternity babydoll dress
September 14, 2009
A very-pregnant Heidi Klum looks radiant (as usual!) as she walked the red carpet with her husband Seal at the “Get Schooled” Conference.

Wearing a black babydoll dress with a blue and white hemline, Klum adds inches to her frame (like she needs it, right?) by pairing black opaque hose and gray platform heels.
Love Heidi’s trendy maternity style? Pair a babydoll dress (check out the Splendid Sleeveless Babydoll Maternity Dress from A Pea in the Pod at www.apeainthepod.com) and pair with opaque tights and platform heels.

Hot fall trends in maternity jeans

This season’s maternity jeans are hip, flattering and so cute — you may be tempted to wear them long after baby is born!

Skinny jeans: Don’t let the name of these jeans scare you off. The name “skinny” doesn’t imply you have to be at your skinniest to look fab in these jeans. The name is implying to the slim cut and stretchy denim.
The Hidden Panel Dark Wash Skinny Jeans from Gap.com (pictured, right) have a dark wash that is not only hip, but flattering.
Distressed jeans: Whether you prefer boot-cut or slim leg, the distressed look is hot this season. Look for jeans with a vintage wash and distressed fabrics.
Boyfriend jeans: Made popular by celebrities such as Katie Holmes, these loose, gently distressed jeans look like they could have been borrowed from your boyfriend — although they are cut to perfectly fit your pregnancy curves.
Wear them rolled up with boots. Pictured, below, is the Demi panel vintage boyfriend jeans from Gap.com.
