October 29, 2008
The Biggest Loser host and Days of Our Lives actress Alison Sweeney was dressed in style at the Women’s Health Magazine Green for Good Soiree last week.
Sweeney is expecting her second child, a girl, in January. Her son Benjamin Edward is 3 1/2. The busy mom recently admitted that, after dealing with quite a bit of morning sickness this go around, that “each pregnancy is a completely different experience.”
The busy mom wore the Hale Bob Velvet Burnout Blouse (on sale from $255 to $179.99) from A Pea in the Pod to her big event. She paired this stylish top with the Secret Fit Belly 5 Pocket Corduroys ($175) also from A Pea in the Pod.

Minnie Driver wears a mini
October 27, 2008
Minnie Driver shows off her postpartum figure in a black mini-dress at the Vanity Fair Portraits: Photographs 1913-2008 exhibit in Los Angeles this past week.
Driver welcomed her first child, a boy named Henry Story Driver, around 1 month ago.
Driver looks great in this black mini dress with a fringed hem and sky high heels.
Pregnancy Fashion tip: Draw attention away from your postpartum belly by highlighing your best feature. If it is your legs, like Minnie, wear a mini dress. If your new-mama cleavage makes you feel sexy, wear a flattering v-neck top or if it is your smooth shoulders and arms wear an off-the-shoulder top.

Celebrity pregnancy fashion tips: Style secrets from the stars
October 26, 2008
Does it seem like celebrities get pregnant and they instantly know how to dress their new curves to look fabulous? Follow these tips to get the celebrity pregnancy fashion look, without the high-dollar stylist.
Hide your belly – celebrity style: Have you recently found out your pregnant, but not quite ready to tell, especially at work? Take a tip from celebrities and disguise your small bump by pairing a tunic top with fitted jeans and knee-high boots. A long knotted scarf can cleverly disguise a small bump, as well as a designer bag – held strategically at your midsection.
Bump hugging, not concealing: Once you have shared the baby news, wear clothes that hug or skim your bump to give your body shape and help you look pregnant, not bloated.
Pregnancy-friendly fabrics: Forget stiff cotton! Celebrities know that flowing, soft fabric, like clothes made from jersey material, is flattering to your new curves.
Pair solids with prints: A head-to-toe printed dress can sometimes make you appear larger, which is why celebrities like Gwen Stefani (pictured, below) know that pairing a solid top with a printed skirt is hip and flattering.

Face slimming tricks
October 26, 2008
It is always fun to see your tummy grow and get rounder, but not as fun when your face takes on the same shape. Follow these tips to instantly slim your face and define your cheekbones.
Makeup artist Brigitte Reiss-Andersen gives InStyle magazine this face-slimming tip:
“For faux high cheekbones, suck in cheeks and brush pressed powder, one shade darker than skin tone, from the hollow of the cheeks diagonally toward the hairline. Add luminizer to the tops of cheekbones to catch the light.”
One product that has everything you need to perfectly shade your face is the Laura Geller Shade N’Sculpt Baked Contouring Powder with Brush ($38) from Sephora. This powder has two expertly coordinated shades to easily shade your face giving you a natural, slimming look. Make sure you use a light hand when applying this, and check out your face in natural light to make sure it is blended and streak-free.
Pregnant with twins, Jennifer Lopez uses some shading tricks to contour her face.

Celebrity maternity halloween costumes
October 25, 2008
Are you trying to decide how to dress your bump this Halloween? Check out what celebrities Christina Aguilera and Heidi Klum wore to Halloween parties when they were pregnant.
A pregnant Christina Aguilera (pictured) was seen last year at a Halloween bash in California wearing a sexy spider costume, with the web strategically placed over her bump. Her hubby, Jordan Bratman, accompanied the popstar as a blood-thirsty vampire.
Project Runway host Heidi Klum dressed her pregnant body as a serpent head and apple body when she was pregnant with her son Johan. “I just wanted something big, because I am big right now,” she told InStyle.com. “I didn’t want to try to be sexy in something skinny and tight, so I thought I’d go the opposite way and do something funny.” Click here to check her out.
