Brooke Burke talks new mom essentials

December 31, 2007

pregnant-brooke-burke.jpg
Model/TV personality Brooke Burke recently talked to Modern Mom about what 9 items are after your baby is born. This mother of three—with one on the way—knows a thing or two about being a new mom!

Brooke’s list includes Bvlgari Petits et Mamans baby perfume ($52 for 3.5 oz at Nordstrom) and Little Twig bathroom essential collection ($16.95 for Lavender Bodywash).

As far as baby gear, she loves the Baby Bjorn infant carrier ($80)and the Bugaboo stroller ($679 for the Bugaboo Gecko) (”not the lightest, but I love the design and maneuverability”). Brooke loves her Cameron Nicole Designs leather bag.

A digital camera, swivel rocker with an ottoman and a great masseuse are also at the top of her list. Of course, her list would not be complete without adding her line of post-partum tummy wraps called Tauts.

What would you add to your new mom list? I would have to add a nursing shawl to the top of my list. It is so nice to be able to take your baby out and be able to discreetly breastfeed without worrying about prying eyes.

When will you start to show?

December 30, 2007

showing.jpg
You just found out the exciting news: You are pregnant! First of all, congratulations! If you are like many expecting moms-to-be, you are wondering: when will I start to show?

According to our experts at Pregnancyandbaby.com, when you start to show depends on your overall physical shape and how many times you have been pregnant.

If this is your first pregnancy and you are in good overall shape, you may not start to show until 20 weeks. If you are in good shape, but this is not your first pregnancy then you will probably start to show somewhere between 12 and 18 weeks. If you are plus-size, you may not start to show until you are much further along.

How far along were you when you started to show?
